Heather specializes in anxiety, depression, stress management, adjustment difficulties, health challenges, addiction, trauma/PTSD, and chronic pain.
Heather obtained her master’s in social work degree from the University of Calgary and has 20 years experience working as a mental health professional in a variety of settings including hospitals and community health centres. Her counselling/therapy approach is informed by acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), often referred to as a third wave CBT approach, accelerated resolution therapy (ART) for PTSD/trauma, Hakomi/body focused therapy, hypnosis, yoga therapy, and collaborative and proactive solutions (CPS).
Heather is registered with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and has developed yoga therapy workshops and programs for anxiety, depression, trauma, and concussion management.

Heather is certified with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (USA) and has been teaching yoga for mental health and well-being in hospital settings for well over ten years.
Kundalini is a unique form of yoga that is growing in popularity around the world. It is partially designed to release subconscious resistances and it can help us to break through old mental patterns and can inspire new ideas. It connects us to our core energy and supports us to be clear and live a life of authenticity.
Kundalini Yoga combines movement (kriyas) with breath work, mantra, and meditation. As we stretch/strengthen the body through Kundalini Yoga we detoxify and purify the body and mind. Activate energy centres which help us to get closer to our destiny and what we are meant to do in this lifetime.
Kundalini Yoga Master, Yogi Bhajan, brought these teachings to Canada and the States in 1969 and since then the movement has spread worldwide. Yogi Bhajan taught over 8,000 Kundalini Yoga classes. He proclaimed “It is everyone’s birthright to be healthy, happy, and holy, and the practice of Kundalini Yoga is the way to claim that birthright.”
